Offering intimate, eco-friendly accommodation, Big 5 sightings and authentic African cuisine, Tangala Safari Camp is located in the Greater Kruger’s Thornybush Game Reserve. The lodge assures a warm and welcoming safari experience so that guests who arrived as visitors, may “leave as friends”.

The camp overlooks an active waterhole where guests can relax and enjoy wildlife sightings and the beautiful Drakensberg Mountain in the background.

About the Rooms

Choose between one of Tangala’s 6 authentic bush chalets and 4 luxury tents. Each twin-bedded unit is complete with a covered patio, mosquito nets, en-suite bathrooms including his and her basins, shower and toilet. As an off-the-grid camp that strives to retain a sense of intimacy and closeness to nature, Tangala makes use of solar power and gas to fuel the camp.

Activities & Experiences

Guests are offered morning and evening game drives in open and comfortable, custom-built vehicles with Tangala’s game rangers and trackers. A wide variety of wildlife, drawn by the reserve’s rich biodiversity, includes the Big 5 and an abundance of birdlife.
